What Is HP ShareBoard?
As more and more employees are working remotely, organizations continue to look for new ways to bridge the distance. According to HP, 40% of professionals’ time is typically spent in conference calls. There’s something unique about all of your employees getting together in a conference room to solve a problem or come up with a great idea. But this is becoming much more difficult with remote workers. Businesses need innovative technology that helps enhance productivity and creativity, no matter where you are.
Introducing the HP ShareBoard, a digital whiteboard that boosts workplace collaboration by providing a real-time feed of dry-erase board activity to remote participants via a digital capture. Now you can transform your dry-erase whiteboard and markers into an online collaboration system, allowing you to stream live content with meeting attendees all over the world. This digital whiteboard can also be beneficial for the education industry as online learning continues to grow at a rapid pace.
How Does It Work?
The HP ShareBoard consists of a wall-mounted arm with a camera, which you place above the whiteboard, and a control panel. When in use, the camera captures the content being written on the whiteboard. Using advanced image processing technology, it cleans and enhances the content of the board, so you can share a crisp, vibrant feed for online viewing. It uses patented Kaptivo technology that removes distortion, shadows, people, and objects in front of your whiteboard before transmitting the image. Remote users can join a session to watch a real-time video, plus they can view a timeline of changes made to the board during the session, download snapshots, and save the entire session content. After the meeting, you can record and save your annotations and easily create PDF slides for attendees.
Setting up the HP ShareBoard is a breeze, which gives you more time to focus on your business. No apps, downloads, or plug-ins are needed. After mounting the camera on the wall, you simply connect its cable to the control pad and plug the power cord into a wall outlet. It uses a secure online connection to your Wi-Fi network and a web browser.
