Strong Password Tips
If your password made the list, you should highly consider creating a stronger password. Use these password tips for creating a strong password and keeping it secure:
- A longer password is harder to crack: SplashData advises using at least 12 characters. The more characters, the better.
- Mix it up: Use a combination of lower and uppercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
- Don’t make it obvious: Avoid using your name, personal information, or other common words.
- Don’t write it down: You should never write down your password.
- Change it regularly. It’s advised to change your password about once every 3 to 6 months.
